Question 1: Give a general experience with Miss.Africa sponsored AboCoders training and how your digital skills were enhanced

Amina: I have learnt how to code in HTML, CSS and JS and my typing has improved tremendously. Before, I didn’t have any form of information about computers but am greatly I can now easily embrace the digital novelty with the acquired skills at the training.

Question 2: How did the Miss.Africa sponsored AboCoders training enhance your perceptions of the involvement of women in technology  

Amina: Before my encounter with AboCoders, my perception about women in technology was crude, in actual fact, I had none because I didn’t even know women were involved in computers.

After meeting the AboCoders team and getting close with the female trainees, my perceptions changed. Now I think it is a good idea that women are being encouraged to engage more in technology.

Question 3: Give us a professional instance during your training that remains a landmark in your career profession

Amina: A major ordeal that changed my perceptions was an encounter with Mr. Ladele, an external trainer, who visited at our training center and taught me a lot of things. He took very great care of all of us and taught me a lot about computers. The way he trained us is something I will never forget and his passion for computers motivates me to want to learn more and do more.

Question 4: Outline your take on the future of women technology in Africa

Amina: To me I think the future of women in technology in Africa is in their hands. They must encourage themselves to seek digital knowledge and use it to solve their problems. Such as developing their own business and earning for themselves.
