Every year during March, we come together to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Here at FemPower we have done so on behalf of our pioneering ten-year #women-in-tech program every year.
As the world continues battling against Covid-19, we can’t forget the unprecedented advances made by ordinary women who have played extraordinary roles in history.
This year, United Nations reflected on women in leadership focusing on achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world. In addition to persistent pre-existing social and systemic barriers to women’s participation and leadership, new barriers have emerged with the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these barriers, we see several organizations joining hands to forge a gender-equal world.
Women’s History Month has relighted the flame in you that you can choose to challenge. Let’s continue to reflect on women’s achievements and increase visibility by taking charge while calling out inequality.
